Halloween Parade

  • Find your age group and STAY in your area until the parade begins if you’d like to be judged.

  • Give your children instructions for when and where to meet up if they will be separated from you.

  • Costume winners will be posted in the Chamber’s window at 110 N Main - stop by to see which costumes won!

  • Be patient at Trunk or Treat. There is no way for us to set up the event without all-way foot traffic - a more limited approach would cause major time delays, so watch where you’re going and stay kind and all will be well. It is a come-and-go event for about 30 minutes - 1 hour.

  • If your kids would benefit from a bike, please sign up for the FREE bike drawing provided by JJ Edwards State Farm & Gilead Masonic Lodge #144! Signup is in front of Woodson Chamber at 110 N Main St. Winners will be announced online within 1 - 2 business days of the event on the Woodson Chamber Facebook page.

Lineup begins @ 5 PM in front of Hotel Woodson and Southwind Extension District on W Butler St. on October 31st.

Judging begins at 5:10 PM - participants must stay in their designated area until 5:30 to ensure they are judged.

Parade begins at 5:30 PM. Participants will walk south on State St, take a left onto Rutledge, and the parade will end at the intersection of Rutledge and Main streets. This is where our Trunk or Treat event begins!

Tips for Success

Trunk or Treat

Setup for Trunk or Treat begins officially at 4:30 PM on Main Street on the Yates Center Town Square. If you need to begin sooner, that's okay, but the street may not be closed yet. Try to conserve space if possible to allow room for everyone.

You may decorate your trunk and be judged, or you may simply show up and give out candy - it's up to you, but we do encourage decorations and costumes if you're able to make it happen!

Judging for trunks begins at 5:10 PM.

We recommend purchasing candy for at least 300 children and being conscious of how much candy each child takes, as it's easy to run out!

The Halloween Parade will begin on the other side of the square at 5:30 PM, so kids will reach you shortly after.

Thank you for participating and we can't wait to see you there!

Thank you Event Sponsors!
