The Woodson County Chamber of Commerce receives funding from Woodson County, Kansas and City of Yates Center, along with event sponsorships and Membership Dues. We offer a wide range of services to our community and the more funding that is available to us, the more we are able to accomplish. Your support as a Friend of the Chamber provides valuable funding with which we can expand our efforts and employ highly qualified professionals to do that work.

If you're interested in volunteering at the Chamber or helping out with one of our local events, send us an email at director@woodsoncountychamber.org - include your phone number and what kind of volunteer work you're interested in. We'd love to have you on board as a Chamber volunteer!

Volunteer Activities:
​
• Office Help - watch the office when the Director has to be absent. It's a pretty simple job consisting of hanging out in the office to answer phone calls and keep the doors open.
​
• Yates Center Days - community members are valuable committee members for Yates Center Days! Help plan the event and make sure things go well day-of with a variety of different volunteering options. Yates Center Days always takes place over Memorial Day Weekend.
​
• Easter Egg Hunt - we need lots of help filling eggs and then spreading everything out on the Courthouse lawn the day of the Easter Egg Hunt! We also need a few volunteers to hold signs and direct families during the hunt. This event always takes place the Saturday before Easter Sunday.

• Toronto Days - this isn't a Chamber event, but if you're interested in volunteering to help with Toronto Days, we can put you in touch with Toronto Booster Club!

• Neosho Falls Ol' Settlers Day - this isn't a Chamber event, but if you're interested in volunteering to help with Ol' Settlers Day, we can put you in touch with the Ol' Settlers group!

• Hay Fest - this isn't a Chamber event, but if you're interested in volunteering to help with Hay Fest, we can put you in touch with the Hay Fest committee!

• Trunk or Treat & Halloween Parade - we need help setting up for and judging our Trunk or Treat & Halloween Parade event! We love to have community volunteers for this fun fall event.
​
• Adopt A Child for Christmas - we need help wrapping and organizing presents AND we have many community members who adopt children to buy presents for at Christmastime. This event also requires the Director to be away from the office at times, so office volunteers are very important in December!
​
• Festival of Lights & Lighted Christmas Parade - we love having great committee members who help plan and carry out this event AND we need awesome individuals like you to build and enter floats in the Lighted Christmas Parade to make it a magical event for community members and visitors!
